Off-plan projects are back in demand

Developers are again selling units before the building is finished, usually with a down payment of 20 to 30 percent and the balance spread until handover.

For buyers the appeal is a fixed price today. The risk is delay: read the delivery date in the contract, ask what happens if it slips, and visit the site more than once.

Ask to see a project the same developer has already delivered.
